There are many common components external and internal in a computer but we will start of with internal components.
- CPU - The central processing unit (CPU) is the brain of your computer. It handles all the instructions sent to the pc, and the faster it does this, the better quality and probably more in price the CPU is.
- RAM ( Main Memory ) - Main memory is defined as the central main storage in a computer. An example of the main memory is where programs such as word, PowerPoint e.c.t. and data are kept on the main memory. The Main memory of a computer which is RAM (Random access memory) stores the programs and data while they are being processed within the main memory.
- Additional Storage - Backing storage is storage that is externally attached to the computer system. As such a a DVD-ROM , that provides additional storage for files on the computer.
